Larry Land, VACo Director of Policy Development, visited several college campuses to talk with students about the state of intergovernmental relations and the type of work he does with VACo.
On April 28, he visited his alma mater, Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C., to share with students what he’s learned by working on various environmental programs, including Chesapeake Bay clean-up efforts, participating on regulatory advisory panels convened by a number of state agencies and advocating on behalf of local governments to the General Assembly.
On May 13, he participated as a guest speaker in a political science class focusing on environmental policy at Randolph Macon College in Ashland. In past years, he has also made similar classroom appearances at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia.
