There is an opportunity for local governments to recover costs related to PFAS contamination in municipal drinking water systems. Settlement negotiations are currently underway with the companies responsible for PFAS contamination in drinking water supplies. All public entities, including counties, towns, cities, villages, airports, authorities and wastewater systems, are eligible to participate.
