VACo Welcomes Sue Klaczynski

RICHMOND (October 6, 2023)—The Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) is pleased to announce the addition of Sue Klaczynski as Finance Manager. Klaczynski joined VACo on October 2.

“I’m excited to be a part of VACo, an organization that advocates for Virginia’s counties,” Klaczynski said. “I’m very much community-minded so I can’t wait to meet our county elected officials and staff and learn more about them.”

Klaczynski, who earned her MBA from Rutgers Business School, will work on the business and financial side of VACo. She was previously the Finance Manager for The Aspen Institute and held other finance and administrative positions with private and nonprofit firms.

“We have a talented and experienced team at VACo, and I feel Sue will fit right in,” VACo Executive Director Dean Lynch said. “Sue has a wealth of experience, and we’re excited about her leadership in helping VACo advance and futurize our business and accounting efforts. We’re excited to welcome Sue to the team.”

Klaczynski is married with three grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, painting, and dining with friends and family.

“I’ve lived in beautiful Virginia for close to twenty years and have loved every minute of it,” Klaczynski said. “I’m eager to join the VACo team, which will give me the opportunity to learn more about Virginia’s counties and to contribute back to the community.”
