VACo’s County Officials’ Summit is now less than one month away! We hope you’re making plans to join us at this exciting event on August 16 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center. Keep in mind that to take advantage of VACo’s room block, you must reserve your room by July 26.
The 2018 County Officials’ Summit will feature incumbent U.S. Senator Tim Kaine and U.S. Senate Republican candidate Corey Stewart, who will separately share their policy agendas and take your questions about issues of importance to Virginia’s counties. VACo is also pleased to welcome 7th District Democratic candidate Abigail Spanberger. Stay tuned to VACo’s website as additional candidates confirm their participation. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to engage with those seeking to represent Virginia in the United States Congress.
Following the legislative portion of the Summit, we’ll adjourn to our Steering Committee meetings, where committee members will discuss the issues facing their counties, deliberate policy proposals, and engage with experts on matters of note to each committee. These steering committee meetings are some of the first steps to the creation of VACo’s Legislative Program for 2019 and should not be missed.
