Chesapeake Bay WIP III Webinars

The Northam Administration and Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will be hosting two webinars on May 13, 2019, to share information about the draft Chesapeake Bay Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP). The webinar will provide an overview of the plan and provide information about the comment submittal process.

During the webinar, the public is invited to ask questions, which will be answered in the order they are received as time allows. All questions will be compiled and addressed in a Frequently Asked Questions document that will be available with the final Watershed Implementation Plan. The webinar will be recorded and available for future viewing on the DEQ website.

Representatives from local governments are strongly encouraged to participate in this webinar, as the Phase III WIP will have a significant impact on localities, from new wastewater facility requirements to agricultural nutrient management plan requirements.

To learn more about the process and to view the Phase III WIP please visit the DEQ’s Chesapeake Bay website.

The May 13 webinars will each last approximately one and a half hours and will be held at 9am and 6pm.
