Early registration and helpful conference apps

The 82nd VACo Annual Conference is less than two months away! If you haven’t registered be sure to take advantage of the early bird discount rate available through September 30. If you have questions about registration, please contact the VACo team. We will walk you through the process. During the conference the VACo team will be wearing blue ribbons, so remember – “if you don’t have a clue, look for the blue!”

As we prepare for the release of this year’s VACo Conference app, we thought of other apps that may be helpful during an event. The flashlight app can be a great tool to have should there be a power outage, or simply if you need a little extra light. If you’re an environmentally conscious note taker, the OneNote app will allow you to type, write, or draw your notes and sync them with all your devices. The Find My Phone app can be helpful if you lose your phone. These are available at your phone’s app store.

Of course, Facebook and Twitter are helpful if you want to share conference activities and information with conference attendees. Facebook users can use the #VACoConf tag on posts and tweeters can use @VACounties. Finally, VACo’s 82nd Conference app will be very helpful if you want to create a conference schedule, evaluate a session and connect with other attendees. VACo will soon share information on how you can download the app on your phone and how to use it.

You may find one or more of these apps helpful in your experience at the conference, and consider sharing any helpful apps that you use with us! Remember that this year’s theme is “Building Bridges: Connect, Collaborate, Innovate,” so let’s share our experiences, ideas and victories and make VACo’s 82nd Annual Conference the best yet!
