March 16, 2009: March 16, E-mail to CAOs and Liaisons: VaDOE summary of USDOE funding guidance for SFSF, Title I and IDEA: The attached information was sent by the Virginia Department of Education to the state’s superintendents. It is intended to provide schools with additional information about the recently released USDOE guidance regarding funding for the State Fiscal Stabilization Fund (the approximate $365 million appropriated for K-12 by the General Assembly in FY 2010) and local Title I and IDEA funds. More specifically, the e-mail is the Virginia Department of Education’s summary of key elements in the USDOE guidance documents. VACo released the USDOE guidance documents to CAOs and Liaisons Tuesday, March 10.
