Amy joined VACo in January 2012 as the administrative assistant and worked to develop the Director of Association Services position. In that position, she coordinates and directs all VACo meetings and provides support to members and staff.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in both history and psychology, and a graduate certificate in historic preservation planning, all from Virginia Commonwealth University. She joined VACo after working in the private sector and nonprofit worlds.

Her background includes office management for Art & Architecture (A&A). While working at A&A, she also provided National Registration of Historic Places nominations and the subsequent state and federal tax credit services as a consultant for the Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods (A.C.O.R.N.). In addition, Amy held a finance coordinator position at Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance.

Amy received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in the Fall of 2015.
